Functions of the General Radio Frequency Centre:

• an expertise of the possibility of the of the filed radio electronic facility usage and their EMC with the operating and planned for the usage radio electronic facilities, as well as drawing up of the finding concerning the results of this expertise;
• calculations of the radio electronic facilities EMC including those of foreign countries, with the radio electronic facilities of the Russian Federation;
• work on definition of the necessity of the international coordination procedure of the radio fre-quency assignments or radio frequency channel  usage;
• work on preparation and (or) expertise of the documents for the international legal protection of frequency assignments or radio frequency channels to radio electronic facilities including orbital positions for spacecraft in case the protection of such assignments is envisaged by the ITU RR and international agreements;
• work on generation of call sign identification in order and in cases established by the ITU RR;
• expertise of technical specifications for development of radio electronic facilities and (or) high-frequency devices and technical conditions for their serial production in respect of the EMC re-quirement.

The General Radio Frequency Centre authorities:

• Development of plans of the frequency territorial deployment of radio electronic facilities;
• Participation in development of norms regulating the EMC of radio electronic facilities in the territory and (or) in space and also by means of selection  of operating radio frequencies for them  (frequency-territorial separation limits);
• Creation of the uniform system of gathering, processing, recording and storage of data on fre-quency assignments or radio frequency channels to radio electronic facilities and call sign identifica-tions as well as the assurance of operation of this system.
